Walnut Energy Bites

These are pretty similar to the cacao and nut bites but adding walnuts has definitely given them a different taste. They seem a lot crunchier. I also added a minimal amount of cacao so you can taste the dates and nuts much more – they are full of goodness so you don’t have to feel guilty about eating the whole lot!

Ingredients:

Handful of almonds

Handful of walnuts

Twenty dates

2 tbsp. maple syrup

1 tsp almond butter

0.5 tsp cacao powder

Desiccated coconut to serve

Method: Put everything in a food processor and blend. Roll into balls, dusting in the coconut, and place in the freezer for an hour before removing to fridge to snack on.
